LARRY AND ELAINE LASOTA
own and run Kaua’i Wedding Videos, the wedding
division of our company Profile Productions.
As escapees from the grind of the Hollywood television and film
business, we have left “Big TV” behind for “Little
TV” in the wedding business here in Kauai. Incorporating over
30 years behind and in front of the camera, we bring our special
touch to personal and romantic love stories.
Our story goes back to our roots in New Jersey. We grew up 11 miles
from one another and hung out at the same places, but never met.
In Hollywood, we lived in the same neighborhood for two years and
never met. In the 80s we both worked on the Warner Brothers’
lot at the same time, Elaine on the Waltons
and then Eight is Enough and Larry on
Alice. Then shortly after Elaine’s show wrapped for good on
Stage 26, Larry and Designing Women started
up on Stage 26… and it just goes on and on.
We (finally!) met in Santa Barbara through a childhood friend of
Larry’s who was also a good friend of Elaine’s, married
30 days later, and celebrate our wedding anniversary in April.
Our production team includes winners of nationally-recognized awards
(including an Emmy and Pro
Sound News award) and our experience in Hollywood
television and film production spans 30 years and covers a wide
variety of specialties.
Larry was a part-time North Shore resident since the mid-80’s,
and we both have been here full-time since the spring of 2000, bringing
our special expertise to Kauai using state-of-the-art, broadcast-quality
cameras and non-linear editing.
We are committed to our new lives in Kauai, and have sunk our roots
deep. Larry is deeply involved with KKCR, Kauai's community radio
station, and Elaine has served on the Board of Directors of the
Hanalei Bay Rotary and for the Kaua’i Wedding Professionals
Association (KWPA), of which Larry was President in 2006.
We have worked with virtually all of the wedding coordinators on
the North Shore. Our two biggest clients are both North Shore resorts
and we have produced virtually all of their in-house wedding videos.
Big or small, we can usually work within any budget to accommodate
the needs of both the wedding planner and the soon-to-be newlyweds.
As active members of the Wedding & Events Videographers
Association International (WEVA), Profile Productions
stays on the cutting edge of what video can do to enhance a total
wedding package. This close association with WEVA provides constant
access to the latest techniques, innovations and equipment.

about Larry
With almost 30 years’ experience in entertainment, Larry
LaSota has worn virtually every hat in the business, from associate director,
to production manager, to videotape editor to production sound mixer.
He has been an audio and P.A. sound mixer for all the major studios and networks
and most of the smaller production companies, working on commercials, network
shows, specials and sporting events, and band and orchestra productions and concerts.
LaSota has also worked as a director, cameraman and videotape editor on commercials,
industrial and promotional productions.
